Fresh from their bye week, the San Francisco 49ers are poised to re-integrate a crucial component into their offense as they enter the latter half of the season. Looking ahead to their Week 10 clash against the Jaguars, Deebo Samuel has been actively participating in practice throughout the week and is set to take the field on Sunday without any injury designation. Samuel had been sidelined since sustaining a hairline fracture in his shoulder during the Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns on October 15.

Expressing his thoughts on the comeback, Samuel shared with reporters on Thursday via NBC Sports Bay Area, “Any time not being part of the game is hard, but I’ve been there before. It’s a mental thing, just getting back and getting ready to play. Just taking it day by day, getting ready for the game on Sunday.”

Before his injury, Samuel had been a significant contributor to the 49ers’ offense, showcasing his versatility as a pass-catcher and in the backfield. Accumulating 20 receptions for 302 yards and a touchdown, along with 95 yards and a touchdown on the ground from 18 carries, his return adds a dynamic element to Kyle Shanahan’s offensive arsenal, making San Francisco a more formidable challenge for opponents.

The All-Pro wideout missed the previous two games, coinciding with the team’s three-game losing streak that dropped their season record to 5-3 before the bye. With Samuel expected back on the field against the Jaguars, the 49ers have an excellent opportunity to break the losing streak and reaffirm their status as a leading force in the NFC.

“We just got to get back to doing what we do best, and that’s playing good ball, getting takeaways, and staying on the field longer,” remarked Samuel.

In addition to Samuel’s return, another key player, Trent Williams, who has been sidelined, returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday. He is listed as questionable for the Jaguars game. Head coach Kyle Shanahan described Williams as “real questionable,” indicating that his availability will hinge on how his ankle responds to the recent practices and the cross-country flight, as reported by ESPN.
