Update on Matti Jorgensen After Denver Supercross Heat Race Crash

In the Denver round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, Matti Jorgensen encountered a challenging crash during the race. Despite not being captured on the broadcast, the incident occurred in the whoops section, forcing the Supercross rookie to end his night prematurely.

Jorgensen, piloting a GasGas MC 250F, has been navigating a mixed bag of results in his first five Supercross main event appearances, with finishes ranging from 13th to 21st place.

Following the crash, Jorgensen received immediate attention from the Alpinestars medical team and was assisted off the track. An update from his agent, Tony Pedone, revealed that the young rider sustained a concussion from the impact.

Acknowledgments were extended to Alpinestars and the AJE Motorsports Overstockvehicle.com GasGas team for their prompt response and care provided to Jorgensen following the incident.

Their support underscores the importance of safety measures and medical attention in the high-risk sport of supercross racing. As Jorgensen focuses on his recovery and awaits reevaluation, the incident serves as a reminder of the physical toll and inherent risks associated with competitive motorcycle racing.
