Tyrese Maxey wasn’t feeling well, dealing with body aches and chills on the night of the game in New York.

Despite his discomfort, Maxey almost led the Philadelphia 76ers to victory with an impressive fourth-quarter performance. However, he made a crucial mistake by committing a turnover that allowed Donte DiVincenzo to make a go-ahead 3-pointer for the New York Knicks, who won the game 104-101 and took a 2-0 lead in the series.

Maxey had an outstanding game, scoring 35 points, dishing out 10 assists, and grabbing nine rebounds. He revealed that he had been feeling sick since Sunday night but was determined to play.

Maxey started the game strong, scoring nine points with three consecutive 3-pointers.

He continued to excel in the fourth quarter, scoring 15 points and giving the Sixers a 100-96 lead with just over a minute remaining.

However, a crucial turnover by Maxey allowed the Knicks to make a comeback. With the score 101-99 in favor of the Sixers, Maxey failed to catch an inbound pass cleanly, leading to a turnover that resulted in a 3-pointer for the Knicks.

Despite having a chance to regain the lead, Maxey’s drive to the basket was blocked on the next possession. Maxey acknowledged his mistake but expressed determination to bounce back in the next game.

Although Maxey has been performing well in the series, the Sixers are still trailing. Maxey emphasized the need to focus on the next game and come up with a plan to win at home.
