Drew McIntyre expressed his reaction to Cody Rhodes relinquishing his WrestleMania main event opportunity against Roman Reigns in favor of The Rock, taking to social media to share his thoughts.
Rhodes recently made headlines by securing his second consecutive Royal Rumble victory, immediately signaling towards Reigns and hinting at a potential rematch at WrestleMania 40.
However, during this week’s episode of SmackDown, Rhodes announced that he would not be pursuing a match against Reigns at The Showcase of Immortals. This decision prompted The Rock’s return, with WWE teasing a blockbuster main event showdown between him and The Tribal Chief.
Responding to Rhodes’ announcement on Twitter, Drew McIntyre posted a GIF to convey his reaction. Additionally, on the latest episode of RAW, McIntyre confronted an injured CM Punk. The former WWE Champion launched a brutal attack on the self-proclaimed Best In The World, targeting Punk’s tricep injury in the process.
Bully Ray recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of Cody Rhodes challenging Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Rhodes and Rollins recently had an encounter on Monday Night RAW, with Rollins attempting to entice Rhodes into a match against him.
During an appearance on the Busted Open Radio podcast, Ray expressed his views:
“Cody’s narrative continues to revolve around his pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship. The title currently held by Seth symbolizes the ultimate goal that his father, Dusty Rhodes, would have pursued. I keep revisiting the same themes because I believe we’ve strayed far from the core storyline.”
