Many fans expressed disappointment over this development, feeling that WWE’s prominent hero was relegated to a secondary role in favor of a part-time performer. Their sentiments are echoed by former superstars, including Summer Rae.
The former female WWE Superstar, last seen at the 2022 Royal Rumble, voiced her discontent with the events on SmackDown. Rae took to Twitter to express her preference for a WrestleMania 40 matchup between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes instead of involving The Rock.
In another post, she criticized both The Tribal Chief and The Great One for their part-time commitments, also lamenting WWE’s handling of The American Nightmare’s victory in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble.
