Elias Díaz managed two hits, one of which was a single that broke the tie in the seventh inning’s six-run rally. Ryan McMahon matched his personal best with four hits, contributing to Colorado’s 8-3 win over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.

The Rockies, who struggled in their initial 12 series, losing 11 and splitting one, secured their first series victory of the season with this win. It marked their third consecutive win of the season.

During the seventh inning, Jacob Stallings delivered a two-run single, while Charlie Blackmon added a two-run double. All six runs were scored with two outs. Blackmon’s double marked his 599th career extra-base hit, putting him on par with Larry Walker for the second-most in franchise history.

Blackmon commented on the team’s performance, emphasizing the importance of timely hits and momentum shifts. He noted the team’s recent well-rounded play, encompassing solid defense, pitching, bullpen support, and improved hitting.

In the top of the seventh, Leody Taveras hit a 389-foot homer off Jake Bird, momentarily giving the Rangers a 3-2 lead as light rain began to fall.

Tyler Kinley (2-0) skillfully handled a tense situation in the seventh, striking out Adolis García with two outs and two runners on base.

However, David Robertson (2-1) struggled, failing to retire any of the four batters he faced after entering the game with a 3-2 lead and a runner on second base with two outs in the seventh.
