TalkSPORT tells us that Eric Dier did not want to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer. Even when Fulham and Tottenham had a plan to swap him for Llyod Kelly from AFC Bournemouth, Dier said no.
Eric Dier, who is playing for Tottenham Hotspur, did not want to leave the team this summer, even though he’s not playing a lot. Instead, he is planning to finish his contract with Spurs and then join a new team without any transfer fees next summer. He will start talking to other teams in January about this.
Eric Dier Said “No” to leaving Tottenham!
Dier can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club next year. His current Tottenham contract will end on June 30, 2024, and he has been with the team for ten years since coming from Sporting Lisbon in 2014.
Tottenham wanted Eric Dier to leave this summer so they could bring in new players. Likes of Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham or Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea. But Dier did not have the intention to leave, so the team couldn’t sign these new players.
The boss of Tottenham, Daniel Levy, really wanted to sell Eric Dier before the summer transfers ended. He even tried to offer Dier to Nottingham Forest. He wanted to do this so that they wouldn’t have to keep him when his contract was almost over.
Well, we believe that even if he says yes or no, he will still leave if the boss says he should leave. We know that he plays well for his club, but his journey or his stay in the team can be decided by the boss himself.
