Five races into NASCAR’s 2024 season, Ford is facing challenges. While Ford cars have shown good speed, they haven’t secured any wins yet. In the recent race in Atlanta, the margin between first and third place was incredibly close, just 0.003 seconds.

However, winning is the end goal, and Ford drivers are eager to find solutions to end the winless streak. As NASCAR heads to Circuit of the Americas for its first road race of the season, Ford drivers are hoping to turn things around.

Ryan Blaney, last season’s Cup series champion, remains optimistic despite missing out on a win in Atlanta. He emphasizes the importance of staying calm and patient throughout the season.

Securing a win in Austin might be a tough task for Ford, especially with strong contenders like Tyler Reddick, Shane van Gisbergen, and Chase Elliott. Chevrolet and Toyota have already secured wins this season, while Ford teams continue to work on understanding the Mustang Dark Horse body style for better performance.

Although Ford drivers haven’t achieved major results yet, they highlight some positive aspects, including leading laps in four out of five races. Chris Buescher from RFK Racing acknowledges the competitiveness of Ford teams despite the lack of wins.

Chase Briscoe from Stewart-Haas Racing acknowledges that while Ford has shown good speed, they have struggled to perform consistently compared to other manufacturers, especially on road courses.

Despite the challenges, there’s optimism among Ford drivers, drawing inspiration from Ryan Blaney’s championship win last season. They remain hopeful that Ford will showcase its strength when it matters the most.
