Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens stand out as two of WWE’s leading figures today. In a recent interview, former developmental talent Josh Bredl recalled a time when he stirred up controversy among several main roster members, including Owens and Rhodes.

Bredl, formerly known as Bronson Matthews, gained recognition for winning the Tough Enough reality show in 2015. However, a year later, he sparked outrage on social media by referring to the former WWE faction The Social Outcasts as “The Social Jobbers.” This group comprised Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, and Heath Slater at the time.

Reflecting on the incident eight years later on Developmentally Speaking, Bredl acknowledged that his remarks genuinely irked many within WWE:

Cody Rhodes

“It trended, went viral. Kevin Owens, all these weirdos that are [superstars]. Even Kevin Owens, a superstar but mid. I don’t know, some people might like him, but he’s not on like the Michael Jordan poster. He’s like a guy in the mud, like the average blue-collar guy (…) He’s p****d. Stardust is p****d. The ‘I got kids’ guy [Heath Slater] is p****d.”

In response, Cody Rhodes labeled Bredl a “d**k” and instructed him to “enjoy dressing in the hall.” Kevin Owens also addressed Bredl’s post, predicting that he would eventually “fizzle out” of the wrestling business.

In wrestling terminology, the term “jobber” refers to someone who frequently loses matches. However, in contemporary wrestling, the term “enhancement talent” is more commonly used, with “jobber” often regarded as derogatory and outdated.
