Guillem Farres Suffers Broken Femur in Practice Crash

Husqvarna’s Rockstar Energy Factory Racing team is facing a setback as Guillem Farres, their promising recruit, suffered a broken femur during a training session in Florida. This unfortunate incident has led to the necessity of surgery and has disrupted Farres’ debut season in the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship.

Despite his rookie status, Farres showcased remarkable potential in the first two rounds of the 250SX East series. He secured an eighth-place finish in Detroit for his debut race and followed it up with a solid ninth-place result in Arlington.

Farres made waves upon his arrival in the U.S. during the 2022 season, particularly excelling in outdoor competitions. His talent earned him a spot with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team this year, marking his first foray into Supercross racing.

The 20-year-old rider was diligently preparing for the upcoming Daytona Supercross when the unfortunate crash occurred. Following surgery, he will embark on the path to recovery, with updates on his progress expected in the near future.

He has shown immense resilience, and we are committed to supporting him throughout his recovery journey, ensuring he returns to the sport he loves.”

In Farres’ absence, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team will be represented by Casey Cochran alongside Malcolm Stewart in the eighth round of the championship at Daytona International Speedway this weekend. Cochran, a talented 17-year-old, will be competing in the Supercross Futures category.
