Although New Zealand is renowned for its triathlon events, this marks the inaugural World Triathlon Cup for Napier, promising an exhilarating start to the season. Scheduled over the weekend of Saturday, February 24th, and Sunday, February 25th, the event boasts a diverse lineup of races sure to captivate audiences.

Kicking off on Saturday are the 2024 Oceania Triathlon Junior Championships Napier and the 2024 World Triathlon Cup Napier, featuring elite athletes vying for victory in a crucial Olympic qualification window for Paris 2024.

Sunday’s agenda includes the Age-Group races, Oceania Junior Mixed Relay, and the 2024 World Triathlon Mixed Relay, promising a thrilling conclusion to the weekend of intense competition.

The centerpiece of the event, the 2024 World Triathlon Cup, presents a sprint-distance triathlon encompassing a 750m swim, 20km cycle, and 5km run, commencing along the iconic waterfront stretch of Napier known as Perfume Point.
