Panthers pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney had one of his best seasons in his tenth year in the NFL, while playing for Baltimore. Now, as he joins Carolina for his first season with the team, he aims to continue his success.

Reflecting on his 2023 season, Clowney likened it to Kobe Bryant’s legendary year, emphasizing its significance for him. He believes that if he can stay healthy and play a full season, he can deliver Pro Bowl-level performances regardless of the team he’s on.

Clowney changed his jersey number to 24 as a symbolic gesture, inspired by Bryant’s switch to that number. However, he’s now returning to his original number, 7, which he wore in high school and college.

Despite never reaching double-digit sacks in a season, Clowney is known for disrupting plays and creating opportunities for his teammates. His ability to disrupt opposing offenses remains a key asset, as long as he remains healthy.

In 2023, Clowney played all 17 regular-season games, a remarkable feat considering his injury history, including microfracture surgery early in his career. Despite the challenges, he continues to excel and had one of his strongest seasons yet in Baltimore.
