Jalen Brunson has joined an elite group of players by scoring 40 or more points in four consecutive playoff games, a feat last accomplished by Michael Jordan during the 1993 NBA Finals.

In Monday night’s Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Indiana Pacers, Brunson’s impressive fourth-quarter performance led to a total of 43 points, helping the Knicks secure a 121-117 victory.

Despite trailing by nine points early in the fourth quarter, Brunson’s 21 points in the final period propelled the Knicks to the win.

Lakers legend Jerry West holds the record with six consecutive games of 40 or more points, achieved during the 1965 postseason. Bernard King accomplished four straight 40-point games for the Knicks in 1984, and Jordan achieved this milestone on his way to winning his third consecutive championship.

In the first-round series against Philadelphia, Brunson scored 47, 40, and 41 points in consecutive games, finishing as the leading scorer of the round with an average of 35.5 points per game.
