Harry Styles made a surprise appearance in the Super Sunday studio ahead of the Premier League clash between Luton Town and Manchester United.
The former One Direction singer, known for his previous sightings wearing a Manchester United replica shirt, paid an unexpected visit to Kenilworth Road.
To the delight of Jamie Redknapp, Dave Jones, Curtis Davies, and Tom Lockyer, Styles dropped by the Sky Sports studio to meet the punditry team before kick-off.
Presenter Jones quipped about Redknapp’s swift reaction, stating he had “never seen Jamie Redknapp move so fast” as they took a quick selfie with the 30-year-old British artist. Responding to Jones, Redknapp jokingly remarked, “Yeah, watch you here now. Look how thirsty you get when he walks past you.”
The banter continued in the studio, with Redknapp playfully imitating Jones’s reaction, “‘Oh can I have some tickets please?’ Yeah, do one mate.”
Amid the lively atmosphere, Luton Town defender Tom Lockyer shared his experience of suffering a cardiac arrest during their Premier League match against Bournemouth earlier in the season.
Reflecting on the incident, Lockyer described feeling “completely fine” before suddenly experiencing light-headedness while running towards the halfway line. He recounted the surreal sensation of waking up to the paramedics’ presence, and realizing the severity of the situation.
Lockyer expressed the disorientation and fear he felt during the ordeal, acknowledging the gravity of the situation as he grappled with the possibility of dying. However, he also highlighted the relief and gratitude he felt upon regaining consciousness and realizing he was alive.
