The France headlines are now filled with the news of Antoine Dupont. The France captain has come down with an injury after an unexpected clash with the Namibian Captain Johan Deysel. The player has received a facial fracture. News about the France star’s injury has overshadowed the team’s new scoreline record of 96-0.

Dupont was forced off the field during the second half of the game after showcasing an amazing performance during the first half. The Namibian Captain received a yellow card amid the head clash, but it was later upgraded to a red card upon further review by the television authorities.

Dupont was seen in tears as he left the field after the incident. The player received a hard blow on one side of his face, which restricted him from making it back to the match.

Upon further reports, it was said that the player had fractured his cheekbone, which has put the rest of his time in the tournament to a pause.

France general team manager Raphael Ibanez, during an interview broadcast with ITV Sport, said that Antoine got a big hit on his face and they will do some exams to make sure nothing is wrong with him, but he is a strong guy, and so the team has decided to rely on his strength till the recovery.

The manager feels sorry for Antoine as he talks about just how dangerous head-to-head contact can be during the game.

The team’s progress on the chart

France secured a legendary win against Namibia with a 96-0 score, and the manager said it was a good step up in comparison to the last game.

France has now moved to the top of Pool A before their match against Italy.

Namibia’s coach, Allister Coetzee, has said that it was a tough day at the office for the crew. They could see within the first 20 minutes that the team was flustered and doing things out of character. They did not stick to the plan due to the pressure of the game.

The Namibian team is still looking forward to regrouping with the objective of winning a game at the World Cup.

Meanwhile, the fans are requested to pray for a successful recovery of Dupont. The World of rugby will be waiting for the player to return to the field with high spirits again and help him secure many more wins in the future.
