Lazio’s own fans weren’t happy with them, but the team showed improvement by defeating bottom-ranked Salernitana 4-1 on Friday. This victory moved Lazio up to seventh place in the Italian league standings.

Despite recent losses to Juventus and Roma, Lazio managed to perform well in this match. Coach Igor Tudor had to work without key players like Ciro Immobile and Matteo Guendouzi. However, the team showed resilience and quickly took a 2-0 lead within the first 14 minutes against Salernitana, who haven’t won a game since December.

Felipe Anderson scored the first goal just six minutes into the game, followed by Matías Vecino’s goal eight minutes later.

Although Salernitana pulled one back soon after, Anderson restored Lazio’s two-goal lead with another goal before halftime.

Gustav Isaksen sealed the win with a goal just before the final whistle. Despite the victory, Lazio’s fans were still upset. The win moves Lazio above Napoli by a point, but Napoli and Atalanta have games in hand.

Salernitana continues to struggle, sitting at the bottom of the table with just 15 points out of a possible 96. Relegation seems almost certain for them.
