Wrexham, co-owned by actor Ryan Reynolds, could achieve another impressive feat this Saturday.

The Welsh team is close to securing consecutive promotions, this time to the third tier of English soccer, putting them just two steps away from the Premier League.

Wrexham has the chance to secure promotion on Saturday if they defeat Forest Green at their home ground, the Racecourse Ground stadium, and if both MK Dons and Barrow do not win their respective matches.

Currently sitting in second place in League Two with three games left, Wrexham is four points behind Stockport. The top three teams automatically move up to League One, while the next four enter a playoff for the final promotion spot.

However, Forest Green won’t make it easy, as they are currently struggling in last place and battling to avoid relegation.

MK Dons, in fourth place, will host Mansfield, while sixth-place Barrow will play away at Gillingham.

Reynolds and his fellow actor Rob McElhenney purchased the club for $2.5 million in 2021. Last season, Wrexham won the National League title, earning them a spot back in the English Football League after a 15-year absence. Their journey has been documented in the show “Welcome to Wrexham.”
