Manchester United midfielder Casemiro emphasized that despite their current struggles, the Red Devils will maintain their status as the premier club in England.
Under Erik ten Hag’s management, United has faced challenges throughout the season. With 14 defeats across various competitions, including nine in the league, where they currently stand eighth, the team has encountered significant setbacks. They find themselves 16 points behind league leaders Liverpool after 21 games.
The club’s European campaign ended prematurely as they finished at the bottom of their Champions League group, and their EFL Cup title defense faltered before reaching the quarterfinals. Their primary hope for silverware now lies in the FA Cup, where they’ve progressed to the fifth round.
Despite these difficulties, Casemiro believes that United’s rich history and esteemed reputation make them the paramount force in English football.
“Manchester United is unquestionably a monumental club,” he stated (as reported by Centre Devils). “While it may not currently enjoy the same level of success as other clubs like Manchester City or Liverpool, its legacy, magnitude, and trophy cabinet firmly establish it as the preeminent club in England.”
