Marvin Harrison Jr. at 2024 NFL Combine: Measurements, Highlights and Reaction

Marvin Harrison Jr.’s participation in the 2024 NFL scouting combine concluded after his measurements were recorded on Thursday, marking the sole event of his involvement.

Officially standing just shy of 6’4″ and weighing 209 pounds, Harrison’s physical attributes include 31.88-inch arms, 9.50-inch hands, and an impressive 77.25-inch wingspan. Sports analyst Charles Robinson shared these measurements on Twitter, highlighting Harrison’s stature as a prospect.

Earlier announcements from Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer indicated Harrison’s presence in Indianapolis for team meetings during the combine. However, Harrison opted out of participating in the combine’s testing drills, choosing instead to focus on maintaining his football fitness regimen.

Comparisons drawn between Harrison and recent first-round receiver selections, such as Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, reveal Harrison’s favorable physical attributes. Notably, his measurements surpass those of past selections, positioning him as a promising prospect for NFL teams.

While Harrison’s measurements align with the expectations for a top-tier receiver, it’s worth noting some observations from analysts.

Jim Cobern noted Harrison’s arm length, slightly below average for his height, drawing comparisons to players like Austin Pettis. Nonetheless, these nuances haven’t deterred Harrison’s projected trajectory in the draft.

Unlike some prospects, Harrison has opted not to hire an agent at this stage. Instead, he remains focused on training under the guidance of Ohio State’s strength and conditioning coach, Mickey Marotti, prioritizing readiness for football over excelling in combined testing.

Given his established reputation and performance at Ohio State, Harrison’s decision to bypass combine workouts isn’t surprising.

He has been widely anticipated as a top pick in the draft, with projections placing him among the earliest selections, such as the Arizona Cardinals’ potential choice at No. 4 overall, according to a recent mock draft by B/R’s NFL scouting department.

Harrison’s collegiate career boasts two years of stellar play for the Buckeyes, providing NFL teams ample footage for evaluation.

With impressive stats, including 155 receptions, 2,613 receiving yards, and 28 touchdowns across 25 games since the 2022 season, Harrison’s on-field performance solidifies his status as a coveted prospect in the upcoming NFL draft.
