In 2022, Max Esterson achieved the historic feat of becoming the first American to secure victory at the renowned Formula Ford Festival. His journey now leads him to the FIA Formula 3 grid, transitioning from the prestigious GB3 Championship in Great Britain. Within the GB3 series, Esterson not only clinched race victories but also earned a coveted spot as a member of the BRDC Rising Star program.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new chapter in his racing career, Esterson, a native of New York, shared, “I’m excited to be joining Jenzer Motorsport and to be racing in FIA F3. Jenzer has a great history of success and has proven they can run at the front in F3, which has to be considered one of the most competitive series in the world.”
Acknowledging the significant leap in the level of competition, Esterson highlighted the increased power, enhanced downforce, and a heavier car in FIA F3. However, he expressed confidence in his ability to adapt, emphasizing the positive synergy he experienced with Jenzer’s familial atmosphere during post-season tests and at the Macau Grand Prix in November.
