The New York Giants had a strong 2022 season, making it to the playoffs and winning against the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card game.

However, things didn’t go as planned in 2023. Daniel Jones got injured early in the season, leaving the team in a tough spot without their starting quarterback.

After seeing Jones’ performance over the past seasons and his recent injury, there are concerns about whether he’s the best choice for the team going forward.

Mel Kiper discussed this on his “First Draft” podcast, shared by Doug Rush on Twitter. Kiper mentioned the possibility of the Giants trading up to get Bo Nix.

Even though the Giants have a top-ten pick where they could get a quarterback, Kiper suggests they might wait until later in the first round or early in the second round to make a move.

Even if Nix were to sit behind Jones for a while to learn, he might offer more potential in the offense than Jones has shown so far.

While the Giants signed Jones to a four-year contract extension, recent events like Russell Wilson’s trade from the Denver Broncos show that contracts can be changed.

It will be interesting to see what decision the Giants make and who they choose as their starting quarterback for the 2024 season.

The NFC East is tough, putting pressure on the Giants to make the right choice at quarterback.
