Mike Conley, a guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, didn’t play in Game 5 against Denver due to a sore right Achilles.
He got hurt during the last offensive play of Game 4, where he missed a 3-pointer with 25 seconds left in a 115-107 loss. The series is now tied at two games each.
Conley has been averaging 11.3 points and seven assists in about 31.8 minutes per game during Minnesota’s playoff journey this season.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker took Conley’s place in the starting lineup. Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said before the game that Jordan McLaughlin and Monte Morris would also get more playing time.
