The boss of Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, has said nice things about a player named Mohamed Elneny. He thinks Elneny is like the important glue that holds the team together, especially when they need to defend.
Arteta talked about the Egyptian team and told us about the injuries. A player who is 31 years old got hurt really badly in January 2023 while training, and he has not played since then.
Here’s what Mikel Arteta thinks about Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny
Arsenal manager Arteta said Elneny had returned to training with the team and stressed the importance of the midfielder, who earns £55,000 a week (spot track) and rarely plays even when in form.
As quoted in Football London, Arteta said of Elneny: “He has been training with us. He felt a little bit of pain in his hamstring a few weeks ago, but now he is back in training.”
“Obviously, it was a long-term injury. We are in the final stages of this rehab now, and it is about building momentum and using that to get some playing time.
“I have always said he is our glue player. He is the one who brings everyone together and brings everyone together. He is a very important player for me in the team, and I’m happy to have him.”

Mohamed Elneny is a Player Who is Part of Arsenal’s Team Under the Guidance of Mikel Arteta
In our opinion, Mohamed Elneny will never become an important player for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta, at least on the pitch. Arsenal have enough good midfielders.
Elneny has performed well for the Gunners in the past but is currently only an international player for the north London club.
It’s harsh but true. Elneny has made 88 appearances in the Premier League during his career. The Egyptian midfielder scored one goal and provided five assists in these matches.
The 31-year-old has been at Arsenal since 2016, and he has spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Besiktas. Elneny’s contract with Arsenal runs until the summer of 2024.
The midfielder made just one start and four substitute appearances in the Premier League before his injury last season, but Elneny has made eight league starts and six substitute appearances for Arsenal in 2021-22. He made a mid-season appearance.
