The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to a multi-year contract with Pro Bowl fullback Alec Ingold, reuniting him with Offensive Coordinator Mike McDaniel, who coached him the past four seasons with the Miami Dolphins. Ingold appeared in 68 games for Miami, starting 48, and was a key contributor to an offense that led the NFL in total yards (401.3 per game) and passing yards (265.5 per game) in 2023. Over four seasons, he helped Miami rank eighth in offensive production, serving as a reliable blocker, short-yardage runner, and receiving option out of the backfield.

Before joining the Dolphins, Ingold spent three seasons with the Raiders (2019–2021) after entering the league as an undrafted free agent. He played a crucial role in the Raiders’ top-eight offensive rankings in 2020 and 2021, supporting four 1,000-yard rushers, including Josh Jacobs, who earned Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2019. Across seven NFL seasons, Ingold has recorded 611 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 75 catches, plus 56 rushing yards and two touchdowns, starting 58 of 107 regular-season games.

Ingold’s foundation was built at the University of Wisconsin, where he played 51 games over four seasons. Originally a linebacker, he transitioned to fullback, compiling 343 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns, along with 14 receptions for 185 yards and four additional scores. A team captain in 2018, he helped the Badgers win four bowl games and achieve two top-10 final rankings. Known for his versatility, leadership, and blocking ability, Ingold adds experience and offensive impact to the Chargers’ backfield.
