DeAndre Hopkins, a veteran wide receiver who had the opportunity to play in a Super Bowl last season, has signed a one-year, $5 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens. The deal could possibly reach up to $6 million with incentives.
Hopkins was traded from the Tennessee Titans to the Kansas City Chiefs before the deadline last season. In his time with Kansas City, he caught 41 passes for 437 yards and four touchdowns in 10 regular-season games. He also made a touchdown grab in Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Before joining the Titans in 2023, Hopkins spent three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and seven with the Houston Texans. A five-time Pro Bowler, he was considered one of the top wide receivers in his prime, having recorded four consecutive seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards from 2017 to 2020.
His career total of 83 touchdown catches is tied for 26th all-time in NFL history. With his ability to stay healthy, Hopkins is expected to provide Baltimore’s passing offense with a much-needed vertical threat. His presence on the field could help take some pressure off young wide receiver Zay Flowers while also making an impact as a red zone target.
