Lamar Jackson and Charlie Jolar celebrates after a touchdown in the 2nd half

Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow exchanged touchdown passes all afternoon, but it took a big run and a short field goal in overtime to decide a wild game between the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.

Derrick Henry charged for 51 yards, bringing the Ravens to the Bengals’ 6-yard line, and Justin Tucker kicked a 24-yard field goal to give Baltimore a 41-38 victory on Sunday.

Tucker had earlier kicked a 56-yarder with 1:35 left in regulation to tie the game, which included over 700 passing yards and nine touchdown passes.

“It was a shootout, a flat-out shootout in the second half,” said Baltimore coach John Harbaugh. “That’s a great win against a team that was playing at a high level.”

Tucker’s winning field goal came after Evan McPherson missed a 53-yard attempt for Cincinnati due to a fumbled snap. This gave Baltimore the ball at their own 43-yard line, and on the next play, Henry had his big run.

Ja’Marr Chase runs with the ball in the 2nd half

The Bengals (1-4) had a 10-point lead three times in the second half, but Jackson brought the Ravens back each time.

Burrow’s screen pass to Ja’Marr Chase turned into a 70-yard touchdown run, giving the Bengals a 38-28 lead with 8:54 remaining.

The Ravens responded with an 11-play, 70-yard drive, ending with a surprising 6-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Lively. Jackson had dropped and then picked up the snap before scrambling and stiff-arming Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard before throwing the pass.

“He was ready, no panic,” Henry said about Jackson.

Burrow was intercepted on the next drive, and the Bengals struggled on their last possession of regulation, which set up Tucker’s tying field goal.

After Jackson lost a fumble in overtime, McPherson seemed ready to win it for the Bengals. However, holder Ryan Rehkow fumbled the snap, and McPherson missed his kick to the left.
