The Philadelphia Eagles have decided to replace former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore by promoting from within. Passing game coordinator and associate head coach Kevin Patullo has been elevated to offensive coordinator, the team announced on Wednesday. This move reflects the team’s desire to maintain continuity within the offensive coaching staff after a series of coordinator changes in recent years.
Patullo’s Promotion and Frazier’s Hiring Aim to Ensure Offensive Continuity
Patullo has been with the Eagles since 2021, initially serving as the passing game coordinator. His role expanded in 2023 when he was given the additional title of associate head coach. With his deep understanding of the team’s offensive system and existing rapport with the players, Patullo is seen as a logical choice to step into the coordinator position and help stabilize the offense.

To fill the gap left by Patullo’s promotion, the Eagles are expected to bring in Miami Dolphins offensive assistant Parks Frazier as the new passing game coordinator. Frazier has previous experience working with head coach Nick Sirianni during their time together with the Indianapolis Colts from 2018-2020. His familiarity with Sirianni’s coaching style should help ease the transition and maintain offensive cohesion.
Patullo’s Experience and Coaching Stability Bring Hope to Eagles’ Offense
The 43-year-old Patullo has a long history with Sirianni, dating back to their time with the Colts. He initially joined Indianapolis in 2018 as the wide receivers coach before transitioning into a pass-game specialist role. His experience working under former Colts head coach Frank Reich further adds to his credentials, as he has been involved in offensive game planning at a high level for several years.
Philadelphia has seen significant turnover at the offensive coordinator position, making Patullo the fourth different OC in head coach Nick Sirianni’s four-year tenure.
From Shane Steichen’s departure for a head coaching job to Brian Johnson’s struggles and Moore’s short-lived tenure, the Eagles have faced constant changes. However, with Patullo’s familiarity with the roster and offensive system, the team hopes to establish stability and consistency, especially as quarterback Jalen Hurts continues to develop as the franchise leader.
