The Seattle Seahawks have continued making offseason roster adjustments, announcing on Monday the waiving of cornerback Zy Alexander. This move comes shortly after the team released tight end Noah Fant, creating two open spots on the roster in rapid succession. These changes signal the team’s effort to fine-tune its lineup ahead of the upcoming season.

To fill the newly vacant positions, the Seahawks signed two players: defensive back Kam Alexander and nose tackle Justin Rogers. Kam Alexander, who played college football at Oregon, UTSA, and Sam Houston State, adds depth and versatility to Seattle’s secondary. His collegiate experience across multiple programs suggests adaptability and potential value in a dynamic defensive scheme.

Seahawks Add Size and Depth with Promising Nose Tackle Justin Rogers Signing

Justin Rogers brings notable size and strength to the defensive line, standing at 6’3” and weighing 338 pounds. A seventh-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2024 NFL Draft, Rogers’ journey through the league has already seen several turns. After being waived by Dallas, he joined the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad and was later reclaimed by Dallas in December. Despite signing a futures contract, he was let go following offseason workouts.

With these signings, the Seahawks continue to evaluate and strengthen their roster in preparation for the season. The addition of promising young talent like Alexander and Rogers could prove pivotal, particularly as the team looks to build depth and maintain competitiveness in a challenging division.
