TruEdge clarified that George Pickens never communicated directly with them and that the confusion stemmed from miscommunication with his management team. They acknowledged that their earlier message did not reflect the full context of events.

The tone shift in the latest message indicates that TruEdge may have faced external pressures—potentially legal—in prompting this more conciliatory approach. While it attempts to address the damage, the clarification still falls short of fully taking responsibility.
Despite the apologetic tone in the second message, TruEdge Sports has yet to offer a clear resolution for those who paid to attend the original camp. The June 28 event featuring Pickens has now been rescheduled with Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth on July 20.
However, the company has not yet offered a full refund to customers who may not wish to attend the rescheduled event. As TruEdge seeks to repair its relationship with both Pickens and the public, a transparent and customer-focused response remains necessary.
