Several high-profile NFL free agents, including veteran edge rusher Von Miller, remain unsigned as the 2025 training camps draw near. Miller, who was released by the Buffalo Bills on March 9, has expressed his desire to continue playing professionally. Despite his current free-agent status, he has not shown signs of retiring and appears eager to join a new team before the start of the season.

According to NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger, who has a personal connection with Miller’s agent Joby Branion, there are reportedly three teams with significant interest in signing Miller. Branion didn’t disclose the specific teams, but Baldinger shared that Miller is optimistic about finding a new team soon.

Miller also seems to prefer avoiding training camp, which is common among seasoned veterans who are familiar with how to prepare for a season independently.

Veteran Pass Rusher Still Draws Interest Despite Injuries and Declining Production in Buffalo

Miller’s release from the Bills cleared $8.4 million in salary cap space for the team. Originally signed to a massive six-year, $120 million contract in 2022, Miller’s time in Buffalo was marred by limited availability. Over three seasons, he appeared in 36 of 50 possible games and posted 14 sacks, 41 tackles, and 23 quarterback hits — numbers that, while respectable, didn’t live up to his hefty contract.

Despite the challenges in recent seasons, Miller remains a highly decorated player with a strong NFL résumé. He is an eight-time Pro Bowler and a two-time Super Bowl champion, credentials that still make him an attractive option for contending teams in need of a veteran pass rusher. Given his proven track record and reportedly good physical condition, it’s likely he will land with a team soon, even if it means skipping training camp.
