The New York Islanders have re-signed forward Kyle Palmieri to a two-year contract, securing one of their key offensive contributors for the near future. Palmieri had a strong showing last season, recording 24 goals and 24 assists while playing in all 82 regular-season games. Since being acquired in a trade from the New Jersey Devils in 2021, he has amassed 87 goals and 85 assists in 305 games with the Islanders.
Palmieri, now 34, has had a consistent NHL career, having played for the Anaheim Ducks, New Jersey Devils, and Islanders. Over the span of 900 games, he has recorded 270 goals and 257 assists. In the playoffs, he has contributed 18 goals and 14 assists over 68 appearances, bringing valuable postseason experience to the Islanders roster.

Islanders Re-sign Defenseman Adam Boqvist After Promising Midseason Performance and Strong Finish
In addition to Palmieri’s signing, the Islanders have also secured defenseman Adam Boqvist with a one-year deal. Boqvist joined the team midseason after being claimed off waivers from the Florida Panthers on January 31. He made a solid impact in limited appearances, posting two goals and six assists in 17 games with the Islanders.
Boqvist, 24, concluded the season with a combined four goals and 10 assists across 35 games split between Florida and New York. His career totals include 27 goals and 72 assists in 244 games, having previously played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Panthers. His re-signing adds depth and skill to the Islanders’ defensive unit.
