Sergei Bobrovsky, the Panthers’ goaltender, made 14 saves in the game. This win equaled Florida’s largest victory margin in a playoff game, matching their 6-1 triumph over Tampa Bay on April 29.
The lone goal for the Bruins came from Charlie Coyle. This defeat marked Boston’s first loss against Florida in six meetings this season. The series will now move to Boston for Game 3 on Friday night followed by Game 4 on Sunday night.
