General Manager Howie Roseman orchestrated an impressive eight trades throughout the draft, showcasing the Eagles’ commitment to strategic maneuvering.
The Eagles’ trade spree reached its peak on Day 3, with five separate trades executed to secure targeted players while also accumulating picks for future drafts. Roseman outlined the dual objectives behind the trades: to acquire desired prospects for the current draft and to stockpile assets for future selections.
This forward-thinking approach led to the acquisition of 2025 third–, fourth–, and fifth-round picks via three separate transactions, addressing concerns about the team’s draft capital for the following year.
Despite the focus on future assets, the Eagles remained vigilant in targeting prospects they had identified as key additions to their roster. Among these acquisitions were standout players like Clemson’s dynamic duo, running back Will Shipley, and linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr.

While the Eagles made headlines with their aggressive trading, the rest of the league experienced a relatively quiet draft in terms of trade activity. With only 28 trades recorded over the three-day event, this year’s draft marked a departure from the frenetic pace of previous years.
Compared to the record-setting 43 trades in the previous draft, the subdued trade market across the league highlighted the Eagles’ unique aggressiveness in pursuing their draft strategy.
