Experienced WWE veterans often enjoy more creative liberty compared to newer talents on the roster. In a recent podcast discussion, Road Dogg shed light on the process of scripting R-Truth’s television segments.

Known for his comedic prowess, R-Truth, whose real name is Ron Killings, is considered one of WWE’s most entertaining characters. Lately, the 52-year-old has been featured in numerous segments alongside The Judgment Day on RAW.

As the overseer of WWE’s live events, Road Dogg shared insights on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, revealing that the creative team adopts a hands-off approach when it comes to R-Truth:

“When it comes to R-Truth, we’ve discovered that you just let him do his thing. You place him in the segment, and magic happens.

We don’t script too much for him or provide extensive direction. Whenever we brainstorm ideas involving him, the conversation inevitably shifts to, ‘Does it really matter what he’s doing?’ We’re talking about Ron Killings, aka R-Truth, right? We don’t try to overanalyze it. We just embrace the fun.”

R-Truth boasts an impressive wrestling resume, having held titles such as the Hardcore Championship, United States Championship, and the 24/7 Championship on 54 occasions. He also once captured the Tag Team Championship alongside Kofi Kingston.
