Ryan Jeffers hit two home runs, and Carlos Correa’s triple with two outs in the sixth inning helped the Minnesota Twins come back from a four-run deficit to win 7-6 against the Kansas City Royals on Thursday.

Reliever Chris Stratton faced a tough situation, allowing a run and walking two batters to load the bases with two outs. Correa’s triple broke the tie, giving the Twins the lead.

Correa mentioned during a postgame interview that he made an adjustment in his swing to connect with the ball effectively, leading to his crucial hit.

Jeffers’ first home run in the fourth inning narrowed the Royals’ lead to 4-2. It was his first home run since May 14, ending a period where he struggled at the plate.

Jeffers expressed his relief at getting back into his rhythm and praised the team’s effort and intensity, especially when facing adversity.

The Twins’ bullpen, led by Caleb Thielbar, secured the win, helping them take three out of four games in the series. The Twins have been performing well recently, with a 24-12 record since a slow start to the season.

Kansas City’s Vinnie Pasquantino and MJ Melendez also hit home runs. Daniel Lynch IV, called up from Triple-A Omaha, started for the Royals, allowing two earned runs in five innings.

Royals manager Matt Quatraro commended Lynch’s performance, noting his low pitch count and effectiveness despite giving up home runs to Jeffers.
