Davis Schneider had a big night with three hits and three RBIs, helping the Toronto Blue Jays secure a 7-2 win against the struggling Chicago White Sox on a rainy Tuesday.

Justin Turner also contributed with two RBIs for Toronto, as the team totaled 13 hits. George Springer had a solid game with two hits, three walks, and two runs scored.

Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman pitched six innings, allowing just one run. Despite not feeling at his best, Gausman managed to keep Chicago’s offense in check, which has struggled to score runs in recent games.

Reflecting on his performance, Gausman acknowledged that while it may not have been his sharpest outing, he was pleased with his ability to make key pitches when needed.

Chicago’s losing streak extended to seven games, with their record dropping to 15-41, marking their worst 56-game start in franchise history.

Nicky Lopez had a strong showing for the White Sox with a triple and a double, while Andrew Vaughn drove in a run in the eighth inning.

Rain delayed the start of the game for 40 minutes, and there was another delay of 68 minutes during the bottom of the ninth inning.

Schneider has been productive at the plate lately, totaling five RBIs in his last two games, including a two-run homer in Monday’s game. Manager John Schneider praised Schneider’s consistency and approach at the plate, highlighting his importance to the team’s success.
