Following an electrifying opening race at the Miami T100, where India Lee surprised the favorite Lucy Charles-Barclay to claim victory, World Triathlon has unveiled the women’s start lists for the upcoming Singapore T100.

A notable aspect of the Singapore T100 is the absence of 12 contracted athletes from the race, resulting in over half of the field comprising wildcard entries, promising an added layer of excitement to the event scheduled for April 13-14.

Chelsea Sodaro, former IRONMAN World Champion, enters the competition in peak form following impressive victories at IRONMAN 70.3 Tasmania and IRONMAN New Zealand.

Charles-Barclay, determined to secure her maiden T100 triumph after narrowly missing out in Miami, approaches the Singapore challenge with heightened motivation. Her previous podium absence in the PTO Tour Asian Open serves as additional motivation, considering her subsequent victory at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona.

Facing a formidable lineup in Asia, Charles-Barclay contends with PTO World #2 Ashleigh Gentle, the defending champion, who kicks off her season in Singapore. Lee, buoyed by her recent Florida triumph, returns to the fray alongside Sodaro, representing the only two athletes from the PTO Rankings Top 10 making the journey, as several top contracted athletes opt to skip this event.

The wildcard contingent, comprising 12 athletes, aims to leave their mark on the women’s event next month. Notable returnees from Miami include Lucy Buckingham, Haley Chura, Kaidi Kivioja, and Pamella Oliveira, each seeking to further solidify their positions in the series.

Representing the Asia-Pacific region, Ellie Salthouse and Rebecca Clarke aim to impress, while Dutch athletes Lotte Wilms and Els Visser seize their starting opportunities.

Anne Reichsmann of Germany steps into the competition with the challenge of filling the void left by PTO World #1 Anne Haug, drawing upon her past performances over the 100km distance. Jocelyn McCauley, fresh from her third-place finish at IRONMAN New Zealand, returns to Singapore, marking her sixth appearance on the PTO/T100 Tour.

The provisional start list for the Singapore T100 Women’s race includes:
