UFC Vegas 88, scheduled for March 16 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, has seen the addition of six new exciting matchups, as confirmed by the UFC in a recent press release. Headlining the event will be a heavyweight clash between Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura.
In the middleweight division, Gerald Meerschaert (35-17), currently on a two-fight losing streak, will face Bryan Barberena (18-11), who is also looking to bounce back from a three-fight losing streak, with his latest defeat coming against Makhmud Muradov in July.
The lightweight category will feature a bout between Mike Davis (10-2) and Natan Levy (8-1). Davis, with a UFC record of 3-1, last competed in October 2022, securing a victory over Viacheslav Borschev. On the other hand, Levy enters the octagon on a two-fight win streak, with his most recent win being a decision victory over Genaro Valdez in December 2022.
Macy Chiasson and Pannie Kianzad are set for a women’s bantamweight rematch at UFC Vegas 88. The two previously met at the TUF 28 Finale, where Chiasson emerged victorious via submission. Chiasson (8-3) is coming off a KO loss to Irene Aldana in September 2022, while Kianzad (16-7) aims to rebound from a decision loss to Ketlen Vieira in July.
Featherweights Josh Culibao (11-2-1) and UFC debutant Danny Silva (8-1) will square off at the event. Culibao, looking to rebound from a decision loss in July, faces Silva, who secured a decision win over Angel Pacheco on the Contender Series.
Returning to the bantamweight division, Chelsea Chandler (5-2) seeks redemption after a featherweight loss to Norma Dumont in July. She will face Josiane Nunes (10-1), who is also dropping back down to bantamweight following a decision victory over Zarah Fairn in January.
The final addition to the card is a bantamweight bout between Chad Anheliger (12-7), coming off a submission loss to Jose Johnson in November, and Charalampos Grigoriou (8-3), making his UFC debut after securing a first-round KO on the Contender Series in August.
