The Tennessee Titans were missing Pro Bowl defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons for their game against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night. Meanwhile, the Dolphins did not have starting linebacker David Long Jr. and running back Raheem Mostert.
Simmons was listed as doubtful due to an elbow injury and hadn’t practiced all week. Long was also doubtful, dealing with a hamstring injury, while Mostert was out for the third consecutive game because of a chest injury.
The Dolphins also had linebacker Mohamed Kamara and quarterback Skylar Thompson inactive; Thompson had hurt his ribs while filling in for Tua Tagovailoa last Sunday. Tyler “Snoop” Huntley started as quarterback for the Dolphins.
Starting left tackle Terron Armstead and cornerback Kendall Fuller were ruled out on Saturday. Miami elevated receiver Dee Eskridge from the practice squad on Monday afternoon.
For Tennessee, the other inactive players included offensive tackle Jaelyn Duncan, tight ends David Martin-Robinson and Thomas Odukoya, cornerback Julius Wood, and linebacker James Williams.
Additionally, Tennessee promoted defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson from its practice squad on Monday afternoon.
