Former NFL linebacker Terrell Suggs got arrested after allegedly threatening another person and showing a handgun during a disagreement in a Starbucks drive-thru line.

Scottsdale Police took Suggs into custody on Tuesday around 3 p.m. They charged him with threatening and intimidating, as well as disorderly conduct with a weapon. He was released on Wednesday morning.

The situation unfolded on March 10 when Suggs, driving a black Range Rover, had to reverse to place his order at the Starbucks speaker. In the process, he backed into another vehicle. Both drivers then engaged in an argument before returning to collect their orders.

Suggs reportedly made threatening gestures and brandished a firearm from his car window before driving away, although he did not aim it at the other person.

In response, Suggs released a statement through his management, EAG Sports Management. He stated that he was merely getting coffee and did not intend to cause trouble. Suggs expressed feeling concerned for his safety when the other individual escalated the situation.

Police identified Suggs through the other vehicle’s video/audio camera, confirming the Range Rover was registered under his name.

Suggs, known for his successful NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 29 in the Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa County.
