Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has yet to make his mark on the field for the Browns, but his impact on their salary cap situation is already evident.
According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Browns have restructured Jeudy’s contract to create more cap space. This restructuring involved converting a significant portion of Jeudy’s $12.987 million salary into a bonus.
As a result of this move, the Browns have freed up approximately $10 million in cap space.
Jeudy, who recently joined the Browns in a trade with the Broncos, is currently playing out the remainder of his rookie contract this year. The next contract-related development concerning him could involve a potential extension that would keep him in Cleveland well beyond the 2024 season.
