Carlos Correa and Trevor Larnach hit back-to-back home runs for Minnesota in the opening inning against Seattle pitcher George Kirby. The Twins held on to secure a 6-3 victory over the Mariners, aiding Chris Paddack in securing his fourth consecutive win on Wednesday night.

Willi Castro also contributed with a home run in the second inning and an RBI triple in the fourth, extending the Twins’ lead to three runs. Paddack, who has been on a winning streak, pitched impressively with 10 strikeouts, allowing only one run, a solo homer by Mitch Garver.

Manager Rocco Baldelli praised Paddack’s strong performance, allowing him to pitch deep into the game with a season-high 99 pitches. Paddack expressed gratitude to Baldelli for the trust placed in him.

Castro, now the regular center fielder in Byron Buxton’s absence, celebrated his home run by embracing the team’s “lucky summer sausage” tradition in the dugout. He later checked his batting gloves to ensure they were still fresh.
