When the Winnipeg Jets are performing well, they play a strong defensive game with excellent goaltending and lots of scoring options.

However, they ended their recent road trip with three losses in a row. Now, as they return home for five games, they want to find their consistency again. They aim to do this so they can have a successful playoff run.

Defenseman Dylan DeMelo said they need to focus on their own game and make sure they’re consistent with their details, competitiveness, and execution. Lately, they haven’t been as consistent as they’d like.

Throughout the season, the Jets have shown they can compete with the best teams in the NHL. Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor, and Connor Hellebuyck have been playing exceptionally well. However, allowing 13 goals in their recent losses was unexpected.

Assistant coach Scott Arniel, filling in for head coach Rick Bowness, emphasized the need for better details in their play. Despite some tough breaks, they need to regroup for upcoming tough games against Edmonton and Vegas.

The Jets are aiming to win the Central Division to secure a better playoff position. They know they can’t choose their opponent, so they need to focus on playing consistently well.

Forward Mason Appleton emphasized the need for patience and smart play, especially as the playoffs approach. They need to stay focused and play smart hockey for the entire game.
