Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has addressed speculation surrounding his future, particularly amid links to Manchester United and Barcelona.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Tuchel would be departing Bayern after the current season, following mutual discussions between the club and the coach.
In a statement, Tuchel expressed his commitment to giving his all until the end of the season, stating, “We have agreed that we will end our working relationship at the end of this season. Until then, I will of course continue to do everything I can with my coaching staff to achieve maximum success.”
Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen echoed this sentiment, emphasizing their desire to embark on a new footballing direction with a new head coach for the upcoming season.
Despite the recent developments, Tuchel has been linked with managerial positions at Barcelona and Manchester United. However, he has emphasized that his focus remains solely on Bayern Munich for the remainder of the season.
Addressing the rumors, Tuchel asserted, “Nothing’s going to happen with me before the end of the season. I have a very high professional expectation of myself, and that’s completely dedicated to Bayern Munich until the end of the season.”
The managerial landscape at both Barcelona and Manchester United has been subject to speculation, with Barcelona’s Xavi announcing his intention to step down as head coach in the summer and uncertainty surrounding Erik ten Hag’s position at Manchester United amidst inconsistent performances and ownership changes.
