The New England Revolution have signed 17-year-old central midfielder Allan Oyirwoth, who has experience with the Uganda Senior National Team. His contract will start on his 18th birthday, Jan. 23, 2025, and will run through the 2028 MLS season, with a one-year option for 2029.
Oyirwoth was born in Pakwach, Uganda, and has recently become a part of the Uganda National Team. He earned two caps for the senior team, starting with his debut on Nov. 21, 2023, in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Somalia, where he provided one assist in a 67-minute appearance.
His second game came in a friendly against Kuwait on Jan. 19, 2024. Oyirwoth also had a strong performance with the Uganda U-20 Men’s National Team at the 13th African Games in 2023, where he scored against Senegal and played in a 2-1 win over Nigeria.
“Allan Oyirwoth is one of the top prospects out of Uganda and a very promising young midfielder,” Revolution Sporting Director Curt Onalfo said. “We are excited to get Allan into our high-potential training environment in New England and help him fulfill his potential.”
Oyirwoth is the second-youngest player on the Revolution’s first team roster as preseason began this week. Before joining MLS, he impressed in Uganda with Amus College School and other clubs.
In March 2023, he was named the Teso Zone MVP after being the top scorer in the zonal school competition. In May, he was the top scorer and earned MVP at the USSSA National Football Championship, a 64-school tournament.

In July 2023, Oyirwoth was the top scorer at the International Schools Football (ISF) Championship in Morocco.
The following month, he led the Federation of East African Secondary Schools (FEASSSA) competition in goals. His successful 2023 continued in October when he won the MVP award at the Buganda Masaza Cup while playing for Club Gomba.
He also earned MVP honors at the National Football Champions when his Amus College team finished as runners-up. In 2022, Oyirwoth was part of the winning teams at the East African Football Championship and the Ateker Cup.
After turning 17, Oyirwoth’s performances in Uganda earned him a move to Leicester, England, in February 2024, where he spent six months at the Brooke House College and Academy, a respected development program with connections to several English Premier League clubs.

Throughout his career, Urruti has helped four different teams reach the playoffs and played a role in FC Dallas winning the Supporters’ Shield in 2016.

Maximiliano Urruti celebrates after scoring
Urruti’s professional career began in 2011 with Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina’s Primera Division, where he came up through the youth ranks. After spending three years with Newell’s Old Boys, including a run to the Semifinal Round of the 2013 Copa Libertadores, Urruti made his MLS debut with Toronto FC in 2013.
He went on to play for Portland (2013-2015), FC Dallas (2016-2018), CF Montréal (2019-2020), Houston Dynamo (2021), and Austin FC (2022-2023). In 2024, Urruti played for Platense, an Argentine club, where he made eight appearances.

Bono, who stands 6-foot-3, spent the last two seasons with D.C. United, where he made 39 league appearances and recorded seven shutouts. Before joining D.C. United, Bono had an impressive eight-year stint with Toronto FC. In 2023, he set a career high with 29 MLS starts while playing for D.C. United.
During his time with Toronto FC, Bono played a key role in helping the team achieve a historic treble in 2017. He was a starting goalkeeper when Toronto won the MLS Cup, the Supporters’ Shield, and one of his four Canadian Championships (2016, 2017, 2018, and 2020).
Bono also helped the team reach the Eastern Conference Championship in 2016 and 2019, and he played a part in Toronto’s appearance in the 2018 Concacaf Champions League Final. Bono was drafted by Toronto FC in the first round of the 2015 SuperDraft and went on to play 130 regular season games for the team, recording 29 clean sheets.

During the 2017 MLS Cup run, Bono kept three clean sheets in five playoff appearances and had an 88.3 save percentage. He also kept a clean sheet in the final against Seattle Sounders FC, helping Toronto FC achieve an unprecedented treble.
That season, Bono made 29 appearances, setting a personal best and recording 10 shutouts, which became a club record and was the second-best in the league. He averaged just 1.12 goals against per game and led the league with 19 wins.

Before starting his professional career, Bono played college soccer at Syracuse University, located near his hometown. He was the starting goalkeeper for the Syracuse Orange from 2012 to 2014. In his final season, he set school records for goals-against average (0.55) and shutouts (12), earning first-team All-American honors and the 2014 ACC Defensive Player of the Year award.
Bono also has some international experience, having earned one senior cap for the U.S. Men’s National Team in a friendly against Bolivia in 2018. He has a unique connection to New England, as well. When he was 18, Bono made one start for the New England Revolution Reserves in the MLS Reserves League in July 2012, before making his professional debut.

Inter Miami CF announced today that they have traded forward Leonardo Campana to the New England Revolution in exchange for a Major League Soccer (MLS) trade-record $2.5 million in General Allocation Money (GAM), split between 2025 and 2026.
Additionally, the Revolution will provide Inter Miami with a 2025 international roster slot and a 2026 international roster slot. Inter Miami will also maintain a sell-on percentage of any future sale involving Campana and could earn up to $750,000 in GAM if Campana meets certain performance-based incentives.

In the 2024 season, Campana scored eight goals and added three assists in 30 MLS matches.
His performances helped Inter Miami achieve its best regular season ever, setting club records for the most wins, goals, and points. The team also secured its first-ever Supporters’ Shield title, accomplishing this by setting an MLS single-season points record with 74 points.

Yueill has made 16 appearances for the U.S. Men’s National Team. He was part of the roster for the 2019-20 Concacaf Nations League and both the 2021 and 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup tournaments. He made his senior international debut on June 6, 2019. In addition, he has 27 youth international appearances at the Under-23, Under-20, and Under-18 levels.
Yueill was originally a Generation adidas signing and was selected in the first round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. He spent part of his first two professional seasons on loan with the Earthquakes’ USL Championship affiliate, Reno 1868, making seven appearances.
Before his professional career, Yueill played two seasons at UCLA, where he started 34 of his 40 collegiate matches, scoring nine goals and providing 17 assists for the Bruins. He earned All-PAC-12 First Team honors in both of his seasons at UCLA and led the conference with 11 assists as a sophomore.
