Masyn Winn hit a home run, doubled, and drove in four runs, while Lars Nootbaar scored twice, leading the St. Louis Cardinals to a 7-3 win over the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night.

The Cardinals came from behind to ruin the start of Charlie Blackmon’s final homestand with a run in the seventh and four in the eighth. Blackmon tripled and doubled during the game.

Blackmon, who announced he will retire after this season, received a standing ovation when he led off the bottom of the first but was hit by a pitch from Cardinals starter Michael McGreevy.

His triple in the fifth gave the Rockies a 3-2 lead, marking the 68th of his career, the most in the team’s history. However, that lead didn’t last after starter Ryan Feltner left the game just one pitch into the seventh inning due to cramping in his pitching arm.

“It was pretty much the whole front side of my arm, just tightness,” Feltner said about his right arm. “It was compounding over the course of the game. Nothing crazy.”

The Cardinals tied the game in the seventh when a mistake from Colorado on a comebacker to reliever Victor Vodnik loaded the bases, allowing Nootbaar to score from third on a wild throw by shortstop Ezequiel Tovar during a potential double play.

“It was a crazy play and worked out our way,” said St. Louis manager Oli Marmol about the comebacker.

In the eighth, the Cardinals scored four runs off Angel Chivilli (1-3) with RBI singles from Jordan Walker and Victor Scott II, along with Winn’s two-run double.

Winn, who overcame a minor injury, recorded a season-high four runs batted in.

“I was in the cages and took a weird swing earlier and kind of tweaked my triceps,” Winn said. “I wanted to be in there, especially getting towards the end of this thing. I want to be out there and compete and play as much as I can.”
