Adam Cianciarulo Out for Anaheim 2 Supercross with Finger Injury

Unfortunate news emerged from the Angel Stadium paddock in Anaheim, CA, as Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo will be absent from round four of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship at Anaheim 2 (A2) tonight.

Cianciarulo has been grappling with a broken bone in a finger on his left hand, stemming from a collision with Jorge Prado during the final turn of the main event at Anaheim 1.

Since the incident, Cianciarulo has faced challenges in maintaining a regular riding routine at the test track. He revealed after the San Diego Supercross that he had been selectively riding, avoiding the whoops section to preserve freshness and prevent further damage to his injured finger.

Following the first qualifying session in Anaheim today, Cianciarulo did not participate in the second session and was confirmed to be sitting out for the night, as reported by Steve Matthes of PulpMX.

The incident at Anaheim 1 occurred behind race winner Jett Lawrence, with Cianciarulo and Prado battling for 12th place on the track after being lapped. Prado made a move up the inside of Cianciarulo in the last turn, resulting in a collision that caught Cianciarulo’s hand between the handlebars.

This impact led to a cracked bone on the top of one of Cianciarulo’s fingers, causing ongoing issues. While his absence tonight is a setback, fans hope it will only be temporary, eagerly anticipating Cianciarulo’s return to the track soon.
