Andy Sullivan had an impressive second round at the Singapore Classic golf tournament. He scored 9-under 63 by making six birdies and an eagle in just nine holes. This performance helped him share the lead with Richard Mansell and Freddy Schott, who both scored 69.

Starting with a par in his opening round, Sullivan was 1 under after eight holes. Then, he went on a remarkable streak with three birdies, an eagle, and three more birdies in the next five holes.

“It was incredible,” Sullivan said of his round without any bogeys. “I started steady, then suddenly everything just clicked.”

Sullivan, ranked 280th, last won a European tour title in 2020 at the English Championship. Mansell, ranked 169th, and Schott, ranked 504th, haven’t won any tour events yet.

The leading trio is just one stroke ahead of five other players, including Paul Waring and Sam Bairstow from England, Matthieu Pavon and Romain Langasque from France, and Kiradech Aphibarnrat from Thailand.

Pavon, ranked 27th, is the highest-ranked player in the tournament. He won the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour in January.

Shane Lowry managed to make the cut, which was at 1 under, despite shooting a 73 in the second round. He finished the event at 2 under.
