“Since I entered the UFC, not much has altered,” reflected Talbott during Wednesday’s media day for UFC on ESPN 53 (ESPN/ESPN+). “I believe I’ve placed greater emphasis on my career. There’s been a definite increase in the time I invest in it, alongside expressing myself online. But aside from that, everything has largely remained the same.”

This Saturday, Talbott (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is slated to face off against Cameron Saaiman (9-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) on the main card of UFC on ESPN 53 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. It’s a pivotal bout for him, potentially his most challenging adversary to date, at least on paper.
For Talbott, a victory here would further solidify his status as a rising prospect, perhaps even setting the stage for contemplation on what lies ahead should he ascend to stardom.

“I mean, let’s be real—the money is bound to have some effect on me. I’ll admit that,” Talbott acknowledged. “But at my core, I’ll remain true to myself and my values, striving to compete to the best of my ability. I’m not fretting over it. I trust that I won’t transform into someone undesirable.”
