Jorge Masvidal experienced a significant weight gain between weigh-ins and fight night during his bout with Nate Diaz. At the official weigh-ins, Masvidal tipped the scales at 175.2 lbs.

However, by the time he stepped into the octagon on fight night, his weight had increased dramatically to 204.1 lbs. In contrast, Nate Diaz weighed in slightly heavier at 175.6 lbs during weigh-ins, and by fight night, his weight had risen to 190.2 lbs.

Masvidal’s notable weight gain sparked some controversy, with suggestions that Diaz might have benefitted from fighting in his home state. Masvidal himself expressed concerns that Diaz’s advantage in front of the judges may have influenced the fight’s outcome.

Despite Masvidal’s weight gain, the scorecards ultimately did not favor him, as he was unable to outperform Diaz in the fight.

Although there has been speculation about a potential rematch between Masvidal and Diaz in the media, no concrete plans have been confirmed yet. As of now, it seems likely that Masvidal and Diaz will pursue separate paths following their contentious encounter.
